As a kid growing up in Fort Lauderdale Florida, Jason Lee was smart, competitive and driven. A natural athlete, he competed in numerous sports including baseball, soccer and football and, at age 14, was introduced to resistance weight training. What began as a means to improve his performance on the field gave way to something greater: a broader fascination with physical conditioning and helping others.
On a scholarship to pursue pre-med studies and play football at Iowa's Drake University, Jason mastered techniques in sport specific training and the related disciplines of powerlifting, plyometrics and speed training. Determined that athletic training and exercise science were a calling (as was the lure of warmer weather), Jason returned to the sunshine state and Florida State University. At FSU, Jason worked as a fitness instructor and trainer to athletes, students and faculty and volunteered work as a physical therapists assistant, developing exercise programs and working with severe mentally and physically challenged persons. He pursued challenging courses in exercise physiology, metabolism, nutrition, biomechanics and sports psychology and, in 1994, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science.
Jason put his talents to use working as head bariatrics counselor at the Miami Heart Institute, assisting doctors with implementing programs to promote fat loss in patients. In 1997 he gained certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and set out to make personal training and nutrition counseling a full-time endeavor.
Today, his passion, knowledge and credentials serve him as owner-operator of a personal training business in Chicago. But what makes this guy special is his creative approach and knack for motivating clients . Jason gets results by safely and efficiently getting the most out of each client's abilities. His belief -- that a strong mind, body and spirit positively linked together can overcome obstacles and ensure success-- is contagious.
Beginning in 2008, with a goal of having a positive influence over a broader range of clientele at more affordable pricing Jason is bringing Adventure Boot Camp for Women to Chicago 's north side . Do your goals involve weight and fat loss, improving stamina, strength and energy? Are you are of strong mind and want results? Here's your opportunity. Let Jason and Adventure Boot Camp get you on the path to fulfilling your highest aspirations in fitness.
